Survey Voices Review 2020: Scam or Legit Way To Make Money Online?

Frugal For Less
Frugal For Less -

There are so many ways to make money online. One of these ways is by taking surveys, and that’s exactly what we’re going to cover in this Survey Voices review.

Taking surveys is probably one of the easiest ways to make some quick cash. You can take surveys on the go, like during that commute to work.

Or you can take surveys from the comfort of your bed…or the bathroom if that strikes your fancy.

The point is, surveys are a simple thing you can do from your smartphone to boost the money in your bank account.

Except, not all survey sites are created equal. Some survey sites have a high payout threshold, meaning you need to earn a certain  amount of points to even redeem for cash.

Other survey sites don’t pay out enough, meaning you have to take quite a few surveys every day just to see some earnings.

And as with all good things, there are some survey platforms out there that are scamming people, stealing information and even worse, stealing your hard earned money.

So how do you know which survey site is the right one to use? With so many options available, it can get really overwhelming to even start. And then you have to weed out the good survey sites from the bad.

That’s where Survey Voices can come into play. Keep reading to find out if Survey Voices is a total waste of time or a real way to make you some money.

About Survey Voices

Survey Voices is operated by Reward Zone, USA LLC. Reward Zone owns and operates several survey sites and has been established since 2011. Survey Voices was introduced in 2016, making it a fairly young website.

Despite the name, Survey Voices does not actually provide its users with direct surveys. This can be understandably frustrating because when you initially do a search of Survey Voices, you expect to take surveys.

It takes signing up to figure out exactly what Survey Voices is all about. And that isn’t providing surveys of their own.

Survey Voices pride themselves on being, “the best paid surveys aggregator.” This means they function as the mediator or middle man connecting you with some of the best paying survey sites out there.

Survey Voices does not do any market research. And they are not paying you anything either.

They are just providing you with the links to what they have researched to be the best survey sites out available.

Why Survey Voices Is Beneficial

You may be wondering why you would even need a site like Survey Voices, if they don’t provide actual surveys. They can be a big help for you, especially if you’re new to taking surveys.

It can be frustrating wading through the several survey sites available on the internet. You never know which one exactly will be worth your time.

When it comes to taking surveys, you generally want the one that yields the highest payouts in the least amount of time. And you also want to make sure the cashout minimum isn’t outrageously high.

Free money is great, but no one wants to spend a full week taking surveys, only to earn $20. So someone must have figured there needed to be a way to filter out the bad survey sites from the good. That’s why Survey Voices was created.

Survey Voices has taken the research and guesswork out of choosing a survey site. Since they’ve already “vetted” these sites, you know at least that you are working with legit survey sources.

At least you have to assume this. From what I’ve seen so far this is both true and untrue. Let me walk you through the set-up process and then I’ll delve into some of the survey sites you could get access to.

Getting Started

When you go to their home page, you will see just how simple their layout is.

I love a simply designed webpage because it means you don’t have to wade through so many sub links in order to find what you are looking for.

The webpage is very straight forward. At the top of the homepage it says, “Take Surveys, Get Paid.” Right away you think, cool, let’s do this. Because the follow-up text says sign up now to earn your first $300+.

That statement is a bit misleading and I’ll explain why in a bit, but for now let me walk you through the sign-up process.

Signing up with Survey Voices is pretty easy, though they do ask for some personal information to do so.

First and foremost, you need to be 18 years of age or older. You also need to be a citizen of the United States.

If you meet that basic criteria, then you will be asked to provide an email, phone number and your address. This information is used to figure out which demographic you qualify for, which is a bit odd since Survey Voices isn’t actually providing any surveys.

After providing this information, you are pretty much qualified instantly to be a member of Survey Voices. This lets you start taking surveys right away. Though this is where you discover that you won’t be taking any surveys on their website.

How Survey Voices Works

After your sign-up is complete, you will be provided with at least five links of some of the top survey sites worth checking out, based on the information you provided.

This information likely changes slightly from person to person, though there are probably some survey sites that they list for everyone.

My list included the following survey sites and I’ll provide a brief overview of each one:

Swagbucks

  • $10 sign-up bonus

SwagBucks is a rewards site that allows you to earn cash or Swagbucks (SB) not only by taking surveys, but also from shopping online, watching videos or playing games.

Taking surveys is by-far the best and fastest way to earn money on Swagbucks. The surveys vary in length, but the longer the survey, the higher the SB payout.

They boast that they give out 7,000 free gift cards every day to their members.

100 SB is the equivalent of $1, so 500 SB could get you a $5 Starbucks gift card or the like. But there are a few $1 gift cards available, in which case, these cost you 160 SB.

VIP Voice

  • No sign-up bonus, but great rewards

VIP Voice is a survey site that thankfully offers its own surveys. You won’t be dealing with third-party operators here.

What sets VIP Voice apart from other sites is their points payout system. Instead of earning cash or gift cards, you use your points to enter into their sweepstakes or bid in their online auction.

The more surveys you take, the more you have access to in terms of points and prizes. Taking more surveys will put you into higher levels, which pay more points.

You can use your points to bid on cool items like sports equipment, gift cards, and more. The highest bidder wins. By not winning the bid, you don’t lose any points.

You can also use your points in a luck-of-the draw sort of sweepstakes. Here you are required to enter a set amount of points in order to win the prize, which could be a trip or even cash.

i-Say

  • No sign-up bonus

i-Say is an excellent site that allows you to make real money taking surveys. With i-Say, you will earn points for every survey you take and you will earn additional points for every survey completed.

On the lower end you can expect to earn about $.45 a survey and at most $2 a survey. On average most people earn $.90 for the surveys taken.

Similar to other survey sites, Ipsos offers payouts in the form of gift cards or PayPal deposits. The point and payout balance is also similar to other sites. For instance, 500 points is the equivalent of a $5 Walmart gift card.

500 points is the minimum amount of points needed for a payout.

Survey Junkie

  • No sign-up bonus

Survey Junkie is one of the top, popular survey sites on the market. For every survey taken you are allotted a certain amount of points.

Each survey will let you know how many points you can earn. You must follow through completely with the survey or questionnaire in order to receive your points. But even if you don’t fully qualify, you will still get a few points for your efforts.

After you’ve reached 1000 points  or $10, you can then redeem that for cash either as an e-gift card, cash in your PayPal account or money transferred to your bank account.

The best part about Survey Junkie is that your points are awarded instantly. You can generally expect to earn anywhere from 50-200 points for a survey. 100 points is the equivalent of $1.

OMG Sweeps

  • No sign-up bonus

OMG is a fun survey site and they are totally up front with everything. Right off the bat they explain that they are paid via advertisements and that yes, they do share your information with  their advertisers and partners.

When you sign up, you are agreeing to receive ads via email, phone or text. Participation lets you enter into a sweepstakes to win prizes.

There is no guaranetee of winning anything. And you may have to click a lot of emails before one pays off, but in general, OMG Sweeps is not a bad way to make quick cash.

Out of Survey Voice’s recommendations, this was my least favorite.

And those were just my recommendations. When I asked my sister to sign up, she got a different list of sites. She did have Survey Junkie and Swagbucks, but she also had InboxDollars and E-Poll.

As you can see, Survey Voices can really open you up to some new and unheard of survey sites when you become a member.

Making Money

So now that you’ve registered, you may be wondering how you go about making any money. The only way to make money via Survey Voices is to click on one of the links to their recommended survey providers.

This means you will have to register on each of these sites. Because without registering, you can’t take surveys. And if you don’t take surveys, you won’t get paid.

This process can be a bit tedious since you will have to input some personal information with each survey site you register for. This part made me nervous since it feels as if you’re just leaking your private data all over the interwebs.

But that’s kind of the risk you come to terms with when you decide to partake in surveys as a way to make money. Your information is being shared, because otherwise they wouldn’t be able to send any relevant surveys your way.

Signing up with each and every website is the easy part. Most of these websites offer free registration. The more tedious task will be taking surveys. Though, thankfully, you can pretty much take an endless amount of surveys when you have so many options available.

Survey Voices highly encourages you to take advantage of any and all promotions offered on their partnered websites.

Every survey site has a different set of rules and payout systems. Some are points based while others are cash based. A few may offer gift cards as the only form of payout and others allow PayPal deposits.

And then you have to keep track of the survey sites you sign up for. After reading through the rules, regulations and payout process, you need to start taking surveys and working toward their payout minimum.

Determining Which Survey Sites Are Worth It

Prior to Survey Voices, I was already affiliated with several different survey sites. I like to go with survey sites that also come with apps. That way I can plug away at several different survey sites on the go.

This also keeps survey-taking fun, since you can bounce around between different survey options. Surveys can be a fun way to earn cash and I’ve taken plenty of interesting surveys.

As an added bonus, several survey sites offer other ways to earn cash too. You could play games, watch videos, participate in polls, check emails. These alternate ways of earning cash come in handy if you ever end up reaching a survey limit.

Not every site will cut you off from surveys, but a few only allow you to take so many in a single day.

Towards the end of the article I mention a few of my favorite survey sites.

Getting Paid

Some survey sites let you cash out with as low as $1 or even $5 but a few require a minimum of $10 or more.

Sometimes you have to dig for this information, as most survey sites just throw out capital letters claiming you could make big money.

And after reading through reviews, I found there are Survey Voices users claiming to make up to $75 in a day from taking surveys. Personally I struggled to make $5, but probably from lack of full effort. There are those out there who treat taking surveys like a full-time day job.

But, even though Survey Voices claims you can make $300+ from signing up, this statement is a misnomer. You have to be pretty aggressive with taking surveys several times a day if you were trying to reach $300.

You might be able to reach that amount in a month if you’re really on the ball, but don’t expect to see that kind of cash weekly.

It would also be smart to decide on which forms of payment work best for your lifestyle, because as I mentioned earlier not every survey site pays the same way.

Personally, I prefer any survey site that lets me deposit cash directly into my Paypal account. That way I can pretty much use the money on anything or transfer directly to my bank account.

Gift cards are a great payment option, but they can be limiting. Unless you frequent places like Starbucks regularly or shop online at Amazon.

Most of these survey sites offer gift cards to thousands of retailers. Sephora, Walmart, Target, and Macy’s are just to name a few of the most popular.

If you shop at these stores all the time, then payment in the form of gift cards would be a great fit for you.

Survey Voices Positives

Okay, so let us delve into the positive aspects of Survey Voices. First and foremost it is free, so you don’t need to worry about paying money to earn money.

Second, it’s easy to sign up. Input a bit of info and bam, instant access. I’m talking literal minutes before you see a list of top paying surveys.

And the biggest perk of Survey Voices is that it gives you information all in one spot. No need to search around or visit numerous websites to find the best surveys. Survey Voices has done that work for you in seconds.

This is a great way to be introduced to interesting survey sites.

Survey Voices Negatives

Asks for Too Much Information At Sign-Up

Unfortunately, I feel like there are more negatives to Survey Voices than positives. Right off the bat I was leary of signing up because they ask for your address.

Not many survey sites ask for even that much information, usually an email address and name are sufficient.

And since Survey Voices does not hide the fact that they are sharing your information with third parties, it makes me wonder just how secure they keep all of your data.

Too Many Emails and Calls

The other thing I noticed about Survey Voices is that you will suddenly start receiving a string of emails. Most of this is spam.

For instance I received one email saying I was on my third notice to claim $776 worth of prize money. I didn’t have a clue what this was about or how I skipped the first two notices. While that kind of prize money would have been greatly appreciated, I could see the scam email for what it was.

Other random emails followed. Survey Voices suggests unsubscribing from these emails, which are sent from their marketing partners, in order to stop receiving them. They do not personally control the emails that are sent your way.

Signing up for Survey Voices doesn’t mean you actually have to read any of the emails sent nor should you click on sketchy links just because they are a partner of Survey Voices.

While Survey Voices does vet a lot of the survey sites that they suggest, a few scam sites will pop in there. Before signing up for a survey site, it would be helpful to do a bit of research.

I know, it seems that the whole point of Survey Voices would be to cut out this need for research. But their site isn’t perfect and they can’t keep out all the faulty survey sites.

In addition to the emails, you can also expect to receive a few marketing calls as well. If anyone is asking for your information, you should promptly hang up.

Not An Actual Survey Site

My final gripe with Survey Voices is that their site can be slightly misleading. I can totally understand why there were reviews claiming Survey Voices wasn’t legit.

The name and webpage lends you to believe that you will have a chance to take actual surveys and earn money with them. This is where reading the finer print comes in handy.

At the top of their homepage, you will be lured into signing up with their simple tagline of “take surveys, get paid,” but in reality, once you scroll a little lower, you realize they are only the middle man.

They put it right out there so really, they can’t be faulted when someone assumes they themselves are a legit survey site.

Oh, and though this isn’t always a deal breaker for some, Survey Voices doesn’t have an app. So in order to get linked to their affiliated survey sites you have to use an actual computer. Or squint really hard on your smartphone.

Is Survey Voices Worth Your Time?

Deciding whether or not Survey Voices is worth your time will vary from person to person.

It is convenient that you can find a list of top paying surveys all in one spot. What isn’t convenient is that fact that you have to then sign up with each survey site.

So you save time in your search, but you still have to go through the process of registering for each one. That’s using up precious survey-taking time.

The other thing to consider is whether or not you’re okay with providing your personal information over and over, across different platforms.

Most of these survey sites claim to be secure, but in reality, that kind of guarantee isn’t one hundred percent perfect.

You also need to remember that there are still some scam survey sites that pop up on Survey Voices. While they claim to vet everyone they put out there, it is clear their level of vetting doesn’t run very deep.

A survey site may look good on the surface but turn out to be a total waste once you get yourself registered.

Overall, I actually don’t think Survey Voices is worth the effort and find it to be more of a waste of time. A simple Google search can help you find some great survey sites and reviews on the best ones too.

Even better, right here on FFL, you have access to several reviews and lists of some of the best survey sites around. And our vetting process is much more thorough than Survey Voices.

You can check out this article and this article for a list of survey options.

Top Survey Sites Worth Checking Out

Since I wasn’t a super fan of Survey Voices, I figured it was only right for me to list my personal, favorite survey sites here.

These are all a smidge different from one another and meet my survey needs in different ways. I like that each site keeps everything interesting for me versus feeling like work.

I appreciate the different payout options, different ways to earn cash, and the convenience of the accompanying apps.

Here are my favorite five survey sites:

1. Pinecone Research

I’m starting off with my absolute favorite survey provider which is Pinecone Research.

Pinecone Research has been around for awhile and has received a lot of positive reviews. I consider them one of the top survey sites on the market.

Unlike a lot of other survey sites, Pinecone is a bit exclusive and will only send you surveys that they feel you qualify for based on your demographic.

Because of this you do need to wait until you are emailed a survey, but fortunately they send out surveys pretty regularly.

One great thing about Pinecone is the payout. For every survey taken, no matter the length, you earn 300 points or $3.

And the added bonus is that there is no minimum to cash out. Once you earn your first 300 points you can choose to cash out immediately via check, PayPal, Visa prepaid card, or choose from their extensive list of gift cards.

2. MyPoints

My Points is my second favorite survey site not only because they have so many survey options but they give you other ways to earn cash too. In addition to surveys you can click on emails, watch videos or shop online.

My Points has a My Points button that you can set up on your browser so that you earn points when you shop at affiliated stores.

A little tab will pop down asking if you want to take advantage of earning rewards. This is a great way to boost your points and quickly, especially if you shop online regularly.

It is free to register on My Points, and once your registration is complete you can start taking surveys or watch a video. You can earn your first 100 points when you verify your account.

You need around 480 points in order to get one of the cheapest gift cards available. This amount of points is the equivalent of $3.

Once you’ve reached the minimum, you can redeem that for a gift card to a multitude of stores, or you can have that as cash on a prepaid Visa or deposited directly into your PayPal account.

3. InboxDollars

I love survey sites that offer sign-up bonuses as incentive. Often these are a great way to reach a payout minimum faster.

Like MyPoints, InboxDollars allows you to earn cash from doing everyday tasks on the internet like watching videos, shopping, or signing up for offers. And this is all in addition to taking surveys.

You can also earn cash by taking surveys, playing games and even by responding to emails.

To start off with InboxDollars, you simply have to sign up for FREE. From there you just have to complete any of the tasks mentioned previously until you reach $30, which is the minimum payout.

Although the minimum payout is fairly high, you can get there fairly quickly with consistency. And InboxDollars is very clear on the amount of points earned for each task.

4. Vindale Research

Vindale Research, like all the other survey sites I have mentioned, is FREE to sign up for. Plus they give you a $1 when you do.

That may not seem like much, but free money is free money. Similar to Survey Junkie, Vindale Research lets you know the cash value of the surveys you are taking. So you will know exactly how much you have a chance to make.

My favorite thing about Vindale Research is that they always have tons of surveys available daily, giving you plenty of opportunities to earn money.

Surveys can range from as low as $.25 to $3.00, but with the potential to earn as much as $50 off a single survey. Though earning $50 for a survey is pretty rare, so don’t get your hopes up.

In addition to surveys, other ways to earn include watching videos, giving product reviews, or by participating in contests and opinion polls.

One of the cons of Vindale Research is that you do need to reach a minimum of $50 before you can cash out your account. If you take advantage of their referral program, you can earn $5 for every referral.

If you can convince ten friends to sign up, you can get a payout fast.

5. Triaba

I’ve been using Triaba for a few months now and really like it. I’ve been using the other sites longer, but Triaba has quickly made its way into my top five.

What I love most about Triaba is that they have a wide range of surveys available. Plus, you have the opportunity to earn anywhere from $.50 to $5.50 for each survey you complete. They say so right on their main page and they mean it too.

With every survey you complete, your earnings show up in your account instantly.

You will need to reach a minimum of $12.50 in order to transfer your money to your PayPal account.

Or you can choose to receive an Amazon gift card or a GCodes gift code. If you opt for one of these you only need to have $10 in your account before cashing out for a GCode or 80 points for an Amazon gift card.

To keep surveys interesting, I highly recommend filling out the demographic information. It is a bit lengthy to get through everything, but will help weed out useless surveys you may not even qualify for.

Final Thoughts

I did not find Survey Voices to be a useful tool for me, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else. As I mentioned above it is a nice way to get introduced to a few survey sites, especially if you’re new to the survey-taking game.

I enjoy taking surveys as a way to earn money. Personally this is the best kind of passive income to make, especially when you already have a day job or full schedule.

Surveys can be taken on the go or from the comfort of your home. You only need to share your honest opinion and with just a few (or sometimes a lot) of clicks, you earn cash.

Taking surveys as a way of making income has its pros and cons. In the end, you have to decide for yourself if taking surveys to make money is worth it to you.

And then you can decide on a few to try out, such as the one’s I’ve mentioned above.

If you give Survey Voices a chance or check out any of the survey sites I have mentioned, let me know in the comments below. We’d love to hear your feedback on our Survey Voices review.
