The Frequent Flyer App (also known as Frequent Flyer Travel Rewards) is a free mobile app that pays you for sharing your device’s location. Once you install the app, the app works passively by pinpointing your device’s location in the background. Over time you will gradually earn points in return.
These points can be used to exchange for cash rewards such as airline miles, gift cards or free flights. After you install the app, there’s absolutely no work on your part except for exchanging your points for cash. That’s why we consider this app to be a passive income earner.
The reason why Frequent Flyer is able to pay you is because they collect your location data and sell it as market research. Instead of keeping all of their proceeds for themselves, they give a portion of it to you for leaving their app installed.

You Can’t Use The Same Email For The Panel App
Frequent Flyer was developed by the same company that created the Panel App, another passive earner for the smartphone. Unfortunately, you can only have either the Frequent Flyer App or the Panel App installed on your phone.
If you have to choose between the two, we highly recommend going with the Frequent Flyer App. The payout is much higher and they have a much better referral program (since the Panel App doesn’t have one). For those that have two different phones and want to use both of the apps, simply use a different email address for each account.
How Much Can I Make With The Frequent Flyer App?
The Frequent Flyer Rewards App is a slow earner. You’re not going to make a fortune using the app. However, once you have the app installed on the phone, you don’t have to do any work since it runs passively in the background.
When you sign-up for the app, you’re automatically given 100 points to start off with in your account. 1,000 points is equivalent to $5, and you need a minimum of 1,500 points to cash out.
If you leave your phone on constantly and keep the app installed on your phone, you can earn 5,000 points a month – this is equal to $5 per month. That’s not bad for not having to do anything. You could use this amount to buy a new stock with Stash each month or get yourself a small meal for free.
Keep in mind that the more points you save the higher their value becomes. For example, you can save 12,000 points and cash out for $10 or you can wait until you reach 25,000 points and cash out for $25.
Some of the prizes you can redeem for are flyer miles to Alaska Airline or Hawaiian Airline, or you can cash out for gift cards to Southwest Airlines, Virgin Air, Hyatt Hotels, Hotels.com, Airbnb and other travel-related companies. You can also choose to redeem your points to enter in sweepstakes.
How Do I Get Started With The Frequent Flyer Rewards App?
Getting setup with the Frequent Flyer App is incredibly simple. In order to ensure that you don’t miss a step, we’re going to walk you through the process in just 5 easy steps.
1. Register.
You can register for a free account by clicking this link here. In order to get setup, you will need an email address, phone number and to create a password. Also make sure to turn your location settings on so that Frequent Flyer has access to this data.
2. Collect Points.
Once you get an account setup, simply leave the app installed. You should be earning around $5 a month in passive income. The only work required on your behalf is to cash out for gift cards or airline miles. You can view how many points you currently have on your home screen.
3. Complete Surveys.
Turn on notifications under the settings menu to know when new surveys are available. This is a great way to earn some extra points.
4. Refer Friends.

Media Insiders App
The Media Insiders App is definitely a favorite of mine when it comes to passive income apps. You can install the app on a maximum of 3 phones. Each phone you leave it installed on gives you $2 per month (previously $5 per phone), for a maximum of $72 annually.
The points you earn can be exchanged for gift cards to popular retailers or direct payouts to PayPal, another great feature of this app.
If you want to earn even more than $6 per month with this app, you can choose to install their VPN software. However, we don’t recommend doing this if you use other rewards apps such as Perk TV or Swagbucks. Certain rewards apps will ban your account for using such software.

MobileXpression App
The MobileXpression App doesn’t have a high payout rate, but you’re still earning a passive income. Expect to earn about $20 per year leaving this app installed on your phone. The app is currently only available for Android devices.
The points you earn can be used to cash out for gift cards to popular retailers or direct payouts to PayPal. Within the first few weeks of installing the app, you’ll automatically receive a $5 gift card to Amazon just for registering as a new user. Just like with all of the other passive income apps, all you need to do is leave it on your phone.
Ebesucher
The primary use of Ebesucher isn’t their mobile app, but you can earn a passive income leaving your browser open. This rewards program pays you to leave an extra tab open in your browser and let it automatically surf websites for you.
The great thing about this program is that you can use more than one computer, and they even suggest using friends’ computers to increase your earnings. If you have a spare computer lying around, you might as well get it setup running this program for some extra cash.
Expect to earn around $65 per year if you leave it running 24 hours a day. Many people complain that this will be just enough to cover the cost of electricity. However, leaving a computer on for a full year should only cost you around $5 – $10 per year. This will net you a profit of around $60 per year per device.
Final Thoughts
Many people complain that having these apps installed on your phone will slow down your device dramatically. Yet I have yet to see a decrease in performance on my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone. For other phones, however, it may slow down your device.
Passive income earning apps may seem like a pain to setup, but once you get them going you can easily earn enough money to get a few free meals per month.
